The Relationship Between Information Technology Maturity and Information Technology-operation Alignment in K-12 Education: A Quantitative Investigation
Abstract
Micro/nano systems and nanofabrication have been the subject of intensive research investment over the past decades. Among all aspects one can consider in miniaturizing a system, the mechanical property is the most important aspect in order to design a micro/nano system. In this study, the elastic properties of suspended carbon nanowires with diameters smaller than 500 nm are investigated by using laser Doppler vibrometry. The carbon fibers are manually fabricated using a carbon precursor polymer followed by pyrolysis process. It is found that the Young’s modulus became inversely proportional to the diameter of the wires. So, the thinner the wire the greater Young’s modulus that the wire has.

Exploring Information Technology (IT) Competencies for Information Assurance Leaders to Lead It Professionals: A Qualitative Study
Abstract
This study explores the technical competencies required for IA leadership to lead IT professionals effectively. This research is relevant to senior IA team leadership, organizational board members, and stakeholders regarding improving the rate of return on investment, corporate growth, and proper allocation of resources dependent on competent decision-making by appointed staff within IA team leadership roles. The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore the perceptions of IT professionals to illuminate the IT competencies necessary for those who hold information assurance (IA) team leadership roles and manage IT professionals. This research is intended to improve awareness among IA team leaders appointed to lead IT personnel in all organizations, as well as IT personnel who have the potential to become part of IA team leadership, of how IA team leadership competencies can impact operations regardless of company type. This study is intended to assist stakeholders, including board members, in developing an improved awareness of the necessary IA competencies for effectively leading IT personnel. IT competencies will aid in providing a better understanding of both technical and high-level IA team leadership skillsets for IA team leaders in preparation for future roles and responsibilities. In doing so, this study will aid in avoiding pitfalls and deficiencies in operations due to missed milestones in IA team leadership and IT professional competency development as these staff members transition into IA team leadership roles.
