Majid Aghlmand is presently undertaking his doctoral studies in Civil Engineering major at ESTU in Turkey. He is working on regional modeling of landslides. To this end, he draws on remote sensing satellite data as well as geographical information system and advanced statistical and mathematical algorithms to examine the probability of regional. Aghlmand has also conducted research on producing LULC maps in GEE and is well familiar with machine learning and its uses in classification. His recent research projects have been about using satellite images with high resolution to extract urban environment information and their modeling, which, in turn, might be used in urban planning and studies.
