A Proposal Writing Manual
Dr. Mitra Farsi, Dr. Seyyed Ali Kazemi & Dr. Mohammad S. Bagheri
Graduate students are required to conduct independent, individual research in the academic field of their chosen master program. They should also write some papers and articles before graduation. Students should be able to report the entire research process leading to the master thesis, from problem formulation to describing findings, conclusions and recommendations. The aim of the master thesis is to provide master students with insights, experiences and tips for improving their skills in research. It forms an integral and important part of all programs. This manual gives detailed requirements for the structure, content and assessment of the master thesis.
This manual is specifically written for graduate and post-graduate students with little or no experience in writing proposals, papers and articles. However, no matter what your experience level, this manual helps you get better at writing proposals, papers and articles. Different disciplines may have different expectations and requirements on the substance, format and length of a proposal. In this regard, students are strongly advised to consult their supervisor(s) and the department beforehand.
We welcome the oral and written comments and reflections with open arms.
